How to Be an Inviting Option in the Post

  1. Be a Good Visual Target
    a) Work for position
    b) Seal the defender
    c) Hands up – Goal Posts

  2. Be a Good Pass Receiver
    a) Treat a pass into you like a loose ball or rebound – go get it
    b) Chin the ball and protect it

  3. Take Good Shots
    a) High Percentage Shots – go baseline, to the hoop, or favorite move
    b) Seek to Draw Fouls

  4. Be a Good Passer
    a) Be aware of cutters
    b) Look to go inside/outside
    c) See skip pass opportunities

  5. Be a Good Teammate
    a) Point to assist passer
    b) Use verbal acknowledgement
    c) Compliment in the press or social media

  6. Eliminate Turnovers
    a) Protect the ball
    b) Make smart passes
    c) Use good footwork
